Rosalina Negosa Trompeta

June 11, 1928 ~ March 25, 2021 (age 92)


Our Heavenly Father welcomed Rosalina Negosa Trompeta home on Thursday March 25, 2021
after 92 years filled with love and happiness.
On June 11, 1928, Rosalina Negosa Trompeta was born to Demetrio and Hilaria Pillione
Negosa in Negros, Philippines. She was the youngest of nine siblings: Luisa Negosa Ban,
Alejandro Negosa, Cecelia Negosa, Ana Negosa, Florentino Negosa, Julia Negosa, Abondio
Negosa and Perfecto Negosa.
In 1952, Rosalina graduated as a nurse from Iloilo Mission Hospital School of Nursing. She
went on to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing at Manila Central University. Rosalina
worked as a professor and taught at a nursing school in Iloilo Province. She later moved to
Manila to work in the Manila Children’s Hospital. After migrating to the United States in 1971,
Rosalina worked at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in the maternity ward as well as various other
Rosalina married Dr. Rizardo Pabulayan Trompeta on December 31, 1956 and together they
had Rizalina Trompeta, who is married to Simon Wong, and adopted their son Jaime Trompeta;
who went to be with the Lord in 2020. Rosalina also embraced Theresa Trompeta-Galipot,
alongside her husband Lionel Galipot and their son Gabriel Galipot. She was a loving
grandmother to Samantha, Shannon, and Sabrina Wong, as well as her great grandchild Zayne.
Rosalina was a devoted born again Christian and was happy serving the Lord at Grace Baptist
Church for the past 45 years where she was on the board of trustees and acted as a deacon.
She enjoyed traveling and joining the church on various mission trips which included helping
build buildings for the Navajo Indians, visiting the Holy Land and the Dominican Republic. She
loved the Lord and was dedicated to learning as well as helping those in need. Rosalina was a
powerful prayer warrior who enjoyed life and loved her independence. She was a vibrant soul
who lit up every room she walked into. Rosalina taught us what it means to be a wonderful
mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, and friend. She will forever be loved by all of us
